De retour de Lima après une semaine passée chez Hermana Betty avec Leslie et Christian!
Le check-up du petit coeur de Christian confirme la bonne forme de celui-ci, il doit juste faire attention à son alimentation (sa maman veille) et ne pas faire trop d’efforts physiques. Très bonne nouvelle donc!!!!
Leslie a passé de nouveaux tests qui ont confirmé la déficience auditive sévère des deux oreilles (de 70 à 75%). Le coût élevé d’un appareil auditif (500 USD) nous ont motivé à en acheter un seul dans un premier temps afin d’aider l’oreille gauche (la plus déficiente). On verra par la suite s’il est nécessaire et possible d’en acheter un autre pour l’autre oreille. Leslie a en tous cas l’air très heureuse de cette acquisition qui lui fait découvrir des sons nouveaux et va lui permettre de mieux travailler sa diction.

Back from Lima after one week in the house of Hermana Betty with Leslie and Christian! The check-up of «small heart Christian» confirms his good shape, he must just pay attention to its food (his mom takes care) and not make too much physical efforts. Good news then!!!!
Leslie has passed new tests which have confirmed the severe auditive deficience of the two ears (70 to 75%). The big cost of an earing aid (500 USD) has motivated us to buy initially only one to help the most deficient ear (the left one). Then we will see later if it’s possible and necessary to buy a second one for the right ear. Leslie is in any case very happy with this acquisition which makes her discovering new sounds and will enable her to better work the diction.
And while speaking about discovering… guess what does a young girl of 13 while seeing the ocean for the first time? See pictures…
